Poverty This is something that has always bothered me as person for years when I was a child I was always hurt and disappointed to see the children in foreign countries that were sick and malnourished with bloated bellies.
Fast forward to now 20 some odd years later and it’s still happening but the sadder part is its happening right here in our vary own united states.
It’s and I look at the news momentarily about it if I pass the TV and it’s on but I can’t live in that space it’s to depressing to me to hear the news of what is going on.Currently we have two epidemics of poverty in the united states
Economy and Job retention The flint water crisis
You can also add natural disasters that can make for even more problems.The united states use to be one of the top countries and we didn’t have any issue with poverty we were the country people came to get help with poverty in other countries
Now in 2016 when you see PSA’s on feed the hungry in New York. I see there being problem with that.
I see there being a problem with that when we are living in country and all these jobs are hiring but are only hiring 33 percent of the unemployed leaving 66 percent to fend for them self and every year unemployment is going down and all these jobs are hiring but what you don’t see is a bunch of jobs that are firing right behind them. Stores closing outA few years ago when the Obama care program came out you a SLEW of people get fired behind that. Because companies had to mandatory pay for their employees health care covers and they didn’t have the money so in order to find the money they ended up firing sections and segment s of workers.
What happens is this contributes to poverty because you have housing department lists set up and backed up 8 years and counting because every opening more people are put onto the list.
Then all the people that are homeless are either living here and there with people and then when you go here and there with where your living to you were out your welcome the shelter can’t keep you, boarding houses are full and then you end up with people hungry on the street.
The flint water crisis is something that is ridiculous because you have people in a little impoverished city and all there water is contaminated and brown like they are in a 3rd world country and they can’t helped them selves EVERYTHING comes from waterYou bathYour food is prepared from water
You drink water Water is nourishment and without that you can get sick and die and this is happening in the UNITED STATES. And what they did to fix it was go and have plumbers put clear water filters on the water When people have been saying “the pips are corroded and filed with almost a inch worth of Brown deposits. ALL a water filter is going to do is make the water LOOK clearer its not going to be any cleaner they have to go in and change those pipes and change the direction of the water flow and get clean water from a water source that ISN”T contaminated.
Which raised a bigger question if this had never been addressed publicly because children were getting led poisoning from the water then would it ever have.
Poverty is a HUGE problem and it needs to stop but it can’t stop with one person saying it needs to stop it literally needs to happen with the commities with the people in congress representing each state and the president and there being people making conscious effort to fix the problem not throw money at it. Celebrities can only do so much with humanitarian efforts this something that we ALL need to do together.
This is something that churches need to get together as communities and actually start helping there city rebuild themselves and actually do it.
We need to get people in political office that are less worried about grand standing and actually are trying to restructure and do a job and I don’t mean the front runner I mean the people all over the political plat form need to be replaced and replaced with the environmentalist and economist and peacemakers that actually want to make a change.
