Carry {Part 2}

I walked through the holidays and NO I don't have holiday I wanted where I wanted when I wanted to have it, but you know what I spent my holiday surrounded with people that were willing to sacrifice there holiday and just be grateful and in joy fellow shipping with one another.

Learning How to CARRY the weight.

This is something that we don’t see many talk about the weight that it takes to walk in the purpose that God has Given you to walk in. I am going to go in a little bit deeper if you don’t mind as I walk this out with you.

The other day I was walking down the street of New York and my eye caught onto an African man who was walking he had a HUGE bag but what drew my eye was he was carrying it on his head with no hands and he had his neck at a certain Angle so that he could Carry it.

I immediately thought about the Africans that work in Africa fitting cotton, cutting down different things and how they would then carry them on their heads in baskets. How some children at young ages were taught to carry these weights and it was generational and it was a weight that must be carried.

Fast forward to now and this is when you gain a better understanding that we have been carrying a weight for years. Generationally, purpose wise, and we are walking around in that weight. We never realize when we give outlives to god the weight we are inheriting, for the way of the lord are narrow... while the way of man is wide.

I use to have a friend that would say “when you gave your life to god you have a hard walk... because you now have left the enemies camp, and now he’s going to send his minions after you to make sure as much as possiable you don’t reach what god is trying to give you”

The warfare is a weight

The oppression is a weight

When you are walking in that weight, you are in a place where God and he is walking with you through it even though you may nor feel it.

We have just celebrated two MAJOR holiday

Christmas

Thanks Giving

And every year you hear about this thing called “The Holiday Blues” but you see that not a Blues that’s something the world uses to make you feel okay about walking in the fullness of your blessings.

So many didn’t get to spend their holidays with Family or friends or doing ANYTHING remarkable related to that beauty of the feeling of the one thing that the holidays are, being surrounded with Loved one, and enjoying the holiday around good food laughing and Enjoying those Holiday’s

No one thinks about those that spend their holidays in Mcdonalds not because there kids wanted McDonald and they weren’t cooking. No because they had no family, they could spend the holiday with. Some were homeless and they spent the holiday on the street.

Some spent the holiday alone because they were dumped before Christmas, or worse they were married and they lost their spouse just before Christmas and they are dealing with funeral plans instead of enjoying their family.

But these are all WEIGHTS that are being carried, burdens that were being carried, but my pastor made something very clear the other day on Christmas Even in church. He Job had a worst fear of losing it all and he was carrying a weight of fear. What if ALL the weight that we are carrying in this season are actually weight that we need to be giving over to god and let him take it away. Were you under that weight because you refused to let it go of something god wanted to take away from you.. The fact you were making these holidays a Idol, maybe you need to just let those things go... God will take good care of you... God will open the door but GOD will do it when he is ready.

The weight is only a TEST to see if you will walk in gratitude even in the struggle.

I walked through the holidays and NO I don't have holiday I wanted where I wanted when I wanted to have it, but you know what I spent my holiday surrounded with people that were willing to sacrifice there holiday and just be grateful and in joy fellowshipping with one another.

So I was happy, the weight comes on is when we are alone, when we have to carry it Alone and feel we are carrying it alone. But in those moments God brings people around you to help you carry that weight. And carry you through till the end... be grateful, release the weight and be set FREE.
